Amybeth McNulty is an Irish-Canadian actor. She is most famous for her role as the main character Anne Shirley on the CBC/Netflix Drama series Anne with an E. This drama was based the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery Anne of Green Gables from 1908. Amybeth McNulty grew up in Milford County Donegal Ireland. Her father is Irish and her mother Canadian. Amybeth was born on the 7th, 2001 in Ireland. At the age of 2023, Amybeth turns twenty. She was born and raised in Donegal, Ireland. She holds dual Irish and Canadian citizenship. She is a blonde. Anne has also had a complicated friendship with Gilbert Blythe who was two years older than Anne however he was studying at the same degree after his studies were stopped when his father fell ill. At their first encounter in school, Gilbert joked with Anne by giving her the nickname Carrots. Amybeth McNulty plays Anne, an unwed and orphaned teenager who endures a childhood of abuse in the orphanages and houses. Anne is accidentally sent into Prince Edward Island in late 1890s. She lives there together with Matthew Cuthbert and Marilla Cuthbert. The series concludes in 1919 and Gilbert and Anne remain happily together. Gilbert is 55 years old and is still deeply in love with Anne.
